How it all started
On an evening a few years back, while traveling through South Africa, we came across a writing on the wall, outside a local artist’s workshop. We asked the artist to create a wooden sign for us with the same writing on it. It said:
“WHATEVER YOU DECIDE TO DO
MAKE SURE IT MAKES YOU
HAPPY
LEARN FROM YESTERDAY
LIVE FOR TODAY
LOVING LIFE
TURN YOUR CANT’S INTO
CANS YOUR DREAM
INTO PLANS”
That’s when we understood what those words meant for us – in that very instant we knew that those three sillables would somehow find their way into our future.
Lilelo is the dream
of a peaceful life
that follows the rhythm
of nature around us.
LI stands for little, LE stands for leisure, LO stands for lodge: LILELO is Little Leisure Lodge, the cosy little cabin in the woods we had always dreamt of. That’s how this place was born. We want it to tell a story – just like those three oak trees that someone before us chose to preserve – and we want you to experience it with us. Come and take a stroll in our orchard, discover a territory less known but full of wonders, step into your own little cabin through its tiny ladder, breathe in the smell of natural wood, fall asleep in the most comfortable bed and wake up with natural sunlight.
